HNDs and HNCs are vocationally oriented, validated by BTEC PEARSON. A HND is a two years course. Our HND course which has a qualification credit value of 240 offers the opportunity to move on to a degree programme final year.

Assessment is a process of measuring learners’ work reliably against criteria, to produce results that are a valid interpretation of knowledge or performance. Each unit has specified learning outcomes and assessment criteria. To pass a unit, learners must meet all the learning outcomes.
A pass is awarded for the achievement of all outcomes against the specified assessment criteria. Merit and distinction grades are awarded for higher-level achievement.
Specifications contain a balance of practical skill development and knowledge requirements, some of which can be theoretical in nature. Assessor ensure that appropriate links are made between theory and practice and that the knowledge base is applied to the sector.
The vast majority classes will take place in our dedicated computer laboratories.
Where appropriate classes will take place in another location such as the green screen studio and recording studio.
